- MNO
- Mobile Network Operator — owns and runs the radio network and spectrum.
- MVNO
- Mobile Virtual Network Operator — sells mobile service using another operator’s network.
- MVNE
- Mobile Virtual Network Enabler — provides the platform/infrastructure that MVNOs run on.
- MVNA
- Mobile Virtual Network Aggregator — aggregates wholesale access for multiple MVNOs.
- MCC
- Mobile Country Code — 3 digits identifying a country in the E.212 system.
- MNC
- Mobile Network Code — 2–3 digits identifying a network within a country.
- PLMN
- Public Land Mobile Network — the MCC+MNC pair identifying a specific network.
- E.212
- The ITU-T standard defining the MCC/MNC international identification plan.
- eSIM
- An embedded SIM profile downloaded to a device instead of a physical card.
- APN
- Access Point Name — the gateway settings a device uses to reach mobile data.
- IMSI
- International Mobile Subscriber Identity — the subscriber identifier stored on a SIM.
- VoLTE
- Voice over LTE — carrying voice calls over the 4G data network.
